What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellous hair (peach fuzz). It had been used for many years and recently became popular again as a celebrity must have treatment.
This is a great treatment for those that are pregnant or breast feeding and want a deep exfoliation without the use of peeling agents on their skin. It’s also great for those with excess vellous hair on the skin. This hair often causes a build up of dirt and oils in the follicles so removing this hair leaves a smooth clean healthier looking skin.
Many people are often concerned if the hair is going to grow back thicker and darker, the answer is it won’t. The vellous hair will only ever grow back at the same rate, so no you wont grow a beard.
Removing the epidermal skin allows products to penetrate better into the deeper layers.
Dermaplaning is most often used on
Rough dry skin
Superficial hyper pigmentation
Mild acne scarring
Fine lines and wrinkles
The results are a refined, smooth, glowing appearance!
